How to…make labels--return address PC--XP--Works

  1. Buy label paper--usually available at CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart
  2. Start>All Programs>Microsoft Works>Microsoft Works Task Launcher
  3. Click on Mailing Labels
  4. Click on Start this task
  5. Click on Return address labels>OK
  6. In Label Settings, select the size you want --for 30 to a page (3 columns of 10) 1x2.63, 5160 is good--for 80 to a page (4 columns of 20) ½ x1 ¾, 5167 is goodClick on New Document
  7. Select the font, size of font, and color for your labels. See above on the task bar.
  8. Type your address in the first space.
  9. File>Print Preview>if satisfied, close and continue. If not satisfied, close and edit. To edit words use backspace, edit>cut etc. To edit font, size, color, highlight by left clicking and dragging through the address, then change font, size, color on the taskbar. When satisfied…
  10. File>Save>Type a name for your file, for instance, Return Address Labels>Save
  11. Insert label paper(s) in printer, face down--brand name icons showing
  12. File>Print>Type number of copies for number of label sheets in printer> OK
